Elizabeth Chadwick

Elizabeth Chadwick portrait

A warm welcome to my website. Come on in and have a browse around. Hopefully you'll find items to entertain, inform and amuse!

There are sections about me, about the award winning novels I write (including extracts from recent ones which will be regularly updated) and about my fascination with the details of Medieval life that have led me to research by re-enactment.

I do hope that you will enjoy your visit and please feel free to email me about anything you see or read here!

NEW! I've set up some extra pages for my readers' interest and convenience.

Shields of Pride cover - click to see larger version

Shields of Pride comes out for the first time in paperback in the UK on December 6th. Waterstones are featuring it in a 3 for 2 promotion if you're in the UK and want a bargain. It is, of course, one of my earlier novels, but until now only available to a limited audience. I've re-edited it and it's ready to go.

Click on the youtube trailer for a few more visuals.

The Wild hunt, The Running Vixen and The Leopard Unleashed will also be available again in due course. There are no hard dates as yet but they are on their way. Watch this space!

A Place Beyond Courage - click for larger version

A Place Beyond Courage the story of William Marshal's father John, came out at the beginning of October in hardcover and has almost sold out. I don't know if my publisher will be reprinting before the paperback later next year, so if you do need a copy of the hardcover, get it ordered now.

The Scarlet Lion has been nominated one of the landmark historical novels of
the last ten years by Richard Lee, founder of the Historical Novel society. It's
a stand alone novel but does follow on from The Greatest Knight to tell William
Marshal's life story from 1197-1219

Copies of my other novels are also available with signed bookplates from The Book Place.
